Gregg Davis reacted on thisGregg Davis reacted on thisWe are delighted to share that Script Biosciences has successfully demonstrated LNP-mediated distribution of mRNA to the brain in rats (~10X larger animals than mice) !! We have already achieved transfection of up to 60% of neurons in certain brain regions, and given the re-dosing capabilities of lipid nanoparticles, this result bodes well for translation to higher species. These results could be a game changer for delivery of gene therapies to the CNS! If you're in the CNS gene therapy space, come talk to us! PS: And oh, by the way, toxicity profiles of these LNPs are excellent (as judged by H&E staining and cytokine panels!) Thanks to PhiFund Ventures and Orrin Devinsky for all the support thus far!
