    Children

I've been lucky to help youth and families find creative ways to stoke their curiosity, planning, coordinating, and leading the activities and events for packs ranging from 12 to 48 active scouts and their families. Always a new experience, the boys bring endless questions and energy to each event, and if we are lucky, they and their families come away learning important lessons and skills.

    Environment

Each week, I volunteer 10–16 hours with the Newcastle Trails Association to keep over 10 miles of trails safe and open to all. From clearing debris to reinforcing slopes, I help preserve these vital paths—fragile lifelines where people of all ages can recharge, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.

In some examples, the object motion may be detected independent of contact with the device. In some examples, a device may include a screen with a first sensor (e.g., a touch sensor). The device may also include at least a second sensor external to the screen. Instructions may be executed by a processor of the device to at least determine when an object is hovering over a first graphical user interface (GUI) element of the screen. Additionally, in some cases, a second GUI element may be provided on the screen such that the second GUI element is rendered on the screen adjacent to a location under the hovering object.
