Once you've nailed your base purchase incentive, you can layer on boosters to drive specific behaviors. Move inventory. Increase order values. Drive repeat purchases. Use your program strategically instead of running it on autopilot. The brands crushing it don't just have a program. They use it to shape purchase patterns. 🎯 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘃𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 There are two reward approaches when layering on additional purchase incentives. Multipliers: Add extra points (2×, 3× points). Simple math. Scales with spend. Works well when you want higher spenders to get more value. Fixed rewards: Set bonuses (100 points, €5 coupon). Same for everyone. Great when you need clarity or want to move specific products. Neither is better. Just different tools for different goals. Here's how 5 types of boosters can be used: 📦 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 Let's start with the most obvious one! Tier multipliers. Higher tiers earn faster on their purchases. Gold earns 1.5x, Platinum 2x. You could also do something similar for specific segments (100 extra points for VIPs, 1.2x for students). 📦 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 This is about boosting campaigns and events. Members' Week. Black Friday. End of season. These are important events. A points boost helps build campaign momentum. Treat it like discounting. Make it an event not a constant. If members always expect a boost, they'll wait until one comes. 📦 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗺-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 Use this to push strategic products. New arrivals need momentum? Boost them. Sitting on overstock? Try extra points to move it faster. Product of the month is the recurring version of this. 📦 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 This shapes behavior over time, not just individual purchases. First purchase bonus gets people over the activation hurdle. 200 extra points for orders over $500. Every 5th order gets bonus points for building consistency. Just don't make it too complex. Pick the behavior you want to drive. 📦 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 Get people trying new locations and interfaces. Want more app orders? Boost them. Need foot traffic in stores? Extra points for in-person purchases. 💡 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 This is a long list, and you shouldn't do them all. Cherry pick those that work with your brand, and spread them out through the year. Three well-timed boosters beat twelve complex ones. When everything's a special event, nothing is. People often ask about difference b/t agencies & our fractional team models: Here's a few key differences: 1) We work with partners across various verticals vs having 1 in-house team. This allows for vertical expertise (i.e. service biz get a Google Ad person with home service expertise, while a cannabis dispensary gets a Google Ad person w/ cannabis experience). This allows for flexible bandwidth as well (i.e. we don't just have 1 internal Google Ad person who could become overwhelmed). We work with plumbers, dispensaries, multi-unit franchisees, HVAC companies, B2B cannabis groups, SaaS tools, THC bevs, etc & each team looks different than the other. 2) We're flexible on scoping & projects. For example; we just closed a deal where client needed small support hours for Shopify, HubSpot, cold email, strategy, etc & we were able to pinpoint a specific level of service / support that not only met their needs but their budget. This can scale up or down very easily. 3) We work with a lot of the best agencies because sometimes they are the best fit. For example; we just hired Sandra Bergman, CLMP™for a consulting project for a dispensary client. This is because she fit their needs. We can bring a lenses of not only knowing all the good agencies but knowing WHEN to recommend one + get the added benefit of rolling her services into other deliverables (SEO + website) vs just working with her on a stand alone basis. 4) We embed; we don't just deliver.
