It’s a rare thing to see leadership at that level staying so connected to the people and it spoke volumes. Kevin Tull did a phenomenal job supporting the store definitely something to be proud of. I also want to give a special shoutout to Alex Palmer, who was there at the very beginning of my ALDI journey. Seeing him today was a full-circle moment — I’ll never forget that he gave me my first start here. And of course, massive respect to the entire Aventura team. The way everyone came together to make this store shine was nothing short of inspiring. I always joked that Dania Beach ALDI is the “Navy SEALs of training,” and Edna was the commander. I started with Edna and she pushed me, challenged me, and demanded a standard that only few could reach but she also gave me the tools and patience to meet it. Edna’s leadership wasn’t loud or flashy. It was steady. Patient. Exact. She knew when to let you fly and when to swoop down like an eagle to make sure you didn’t fall. Everything I’ve accomplished at ALDI so far has started with her training. And as I move on to my next chapter in Aventura ALDI at a brand new store with a brand new team, I know her influence will follow me there. A few months ago, I wrote about my first 6 months at Aldi and how the challenges, systems, and teamwork shaped me. I didn’t know it would resonate beyond my own network — but apparently, it reached a lot further. To me It’s proof that when you’re authentic, you will naturally connect with people. I’ve quickly noticed that every location has its own rhythm, culture, and team dynamic — and jumping into a new one always sharpens my ability to adapt, lead, and learn. Helping out at different stores helps me see how each team works, what motivates them, and how to build quick trust and momentum. You pick up things you don’t learn standing still.
