Single Cycle CPU
- Present
Design of basic single-cycle processor with all of its respective components such as an instruction fetch unit, an ALU unit, data memory, etc. Written in Verilog (HDL language) and simulated on ModelSim. Processor built to successfully execute 3 simple programs (binary long division, multiplicative inverse, square root). This project included the design of a 9-bit instruction ISA to work with CPU.

Analytics App
- Present
See projectThis website linked is the end product of my work in a Database Analytics course at UCSD. It is protected by authentication, so contact me for the credentials if interested. In short, it’s an app that basically gathers data about user visits to my site and displays it in charts and grids for me (the site host) to analyze. It’s the perfect way to see if users are staying on certain pages of your site longer than others, if you have broken links embedded in your site, etc. It can give tons of…

It’s the perfect way to see if users are staying on certain pages of your site longer than others, if you have broken links embedded in your site, etc. It can give tons of useful info.
Technical Details:
I hosted my website on a DigitalOcean virtual machine. I utilized a collector script that gathers all sorts of information from visits to my site such as browser info, network info, etc. It then sends this info to REST endpoints I set up using an express server, which in turn store the info in a mySQL database. I then used ZingGrid to pull data from my endpoints and display it in charts and graphs. For login/logout, I used PHP session cookies. -

We created this tool to help software teams collaborate more efficiently. In essence, it is a platform that creates a map of a project’s file system and tracks developer presence. It’s purpose is to minimize a software team’s bus factor by helping all team members understand a larger part of the project they are working on through an interactive file map. Additionally, CartoGraphX keeps developers accountable by showing the team which file’s are being worked on by who.

Mafia Game Web App
-
See projectThis web application, which is an online version of the social deduction game Mafia, was a product of a software development course at UCSD in which I partnered with 9 other engineers. I was selected as co-lead by my team members and carried out the role of quality assurance during this project. In the end, we created an application that utilizes web-sockets to allow several players to participate in a game of Mafia from their own devices. Functioning like many of today’s most popular video…

In the end, we created an application that utilizes web-sockets to allow several players to participate in a game of Mafia from their own devices. Functioning like many of today’s most popular video games, the app allows a user to create a lobby, which generates a key that is then shared with others who use it to join the host for a game of Mafia.

Rescue Camera

This is a project that was carried out by myself and a team of 4 other engineers whom I had the pleasure of leading during a User Centered Design & Engineering course at UCSD. We partnered with the Red Cross Organization in Tijuna, Mexico to create a working prototype of a rescue camera, used to search for victims trapped under collapsed structures. We were tasked with creating a camera that could capture the most important features that a $15,000 camera does, for a fraction of the price. In…

We partnered with the Red Cross Organization in Tijuna, Mexico to create a working prototype of a rescue camera, used to search for victims trapped under collapsed structures. We were tasked with creating a camera that could capture the most important features that a $15,000 camera does, for a fraction of the price. In this particular case, the solution that we came up with was not one that we engineered from scratch, but instead one where we used existing products and wrote some software to create. We purchased a $50 bare bones camera off of Amazon and connected it to a raspberry pi that one of our team members owned. We then wrote some code to get our camera to live stream to a url. Finally, we implemented rotation through the use of servo motors and a 3D printed camera-head enclosure.
