Today, Narmi and long-time customer Grasshopper Bank have taken a leading position in AI enablement in U.S. banking. We are announcing that Grasshopper customers can now securely connect their accounts to Anthropic Claude LLM using the MCP protocol. In doing so, Grasshopper becomes the first U.S. bank to launch a MCP server for enabling AI-driven insights leveraging banking data. https://lnkd.in/evBVUBdr What does this mean? Why does this matter? - People have shifted from using search engines like google to AI tools. Instead of going to Google, businesses and consumers now go to tools like Claude and ChatGPT. - We see no reason that banking use cases are exempt from this change - Users of digital banking will be looking to financial institutions to enable them to live better financial lives, and AI is 100% part of that formula. Institutions who are able to anticipate this need and are implementing this integration will win. Sample use cases include: - “Based on my spending, can I afford a vacation to Florida in the winter?” - "Can you categorize my top 10 recurring vendors?” - "What expenses could I reduce to improve margins next quarter?" During testing, a Grasshopper client shared "[the integration with Grasshopper] enables me to pose complex cash flow questions in natural language, dramatically reducing the time I spend on routine financial analysis while improving the quality of our cash flow management decisions."
