    The key user need we are addressing is that people want to expand their real life social networks. While there are many "social" technologies out there (Facebook, Yelp, nice instant messaging interfaces), there is a fundamental problem where people are spending increasing amounts of time on their phones and less time engaged in genuine communication with the people they could be connecting with in the world around them. We have developed an app which will challenge, motivate, and track people making progress towards being more genuinely social in everyday interpersonal relationships.

The moodring shows a person's "interest color" based on a composite of Red for Active interests, Green for Nature interests, and Blue for Intellectual interests that they've entered on a website. Then, the moodring allows the user to show their mood based on traditional moodring colors from Black for Stressed through Dark Blue for Happy.
