    Launch! is the third and final stage of the UVA Entrepreneurship Cup, and its goal is to showcase and provide seed capital to the most compelling student ventures. Students at this point are able to provide evidence of real customer and/or stakeholder demand, and can provide a vision for how the venture could become a sustainable business or non-profit.

    HackUVA is a 24-hour programming event where developers, designers, and entrepreneurs work together to create a web or mobile application/platform from scratch. Our team created a Chrome plugin that utilizes machine learning models to analyze the bias and sentiment in news articles. We were awarded the top web app and overall prize winners.

    The competition, sponsored by the Darden Graduate School of Business, features student pitches that demonstrate the value of the business, capturing the elements of a business plan in a high-impact power point, video, and executive-summary based format. Was part of the first undergraduate team to win the competition. Won the $10,000 prize.

    I conducted a project in biochemistry where I discovered a class of chemicals that could prevent biofilm formation.

    VP of Programs

    VVF is a student-run Venture Capital firm and VC education outlet. As VP of Programs, I oversaw due diligence and sourcing teams for tech investments in the Greater Washington D.C. area. I worked with various VC firms one their investment research and development of resources for our VVF analysts. We started a student venture incubator modeled after Y Combinator to foster entrepreneurship and introduce students to angel investors in 2015.

    AKPsi is a co-ed business fraternity that is focused on developing young business professionals. As VP of Technology, I developed our chapter website and created a career resource hub. Continuing my interest in career development, I created a mentorship and interviewing program to connect members and alumni. Members of the executive board help run the organization and I had a hand in event planning and community service as well.
