- Let's begin this lesson kind of comparing some challenges of securing your wireless network when compared to securing the wired network, which could be obviously our Ethernet or Fiber network. With wireless, we have more of a propensity for eavesdropping because wireless signals can be intercepted by anyone within the range, the area, or the service set, which makes it easier for attackers to eavesdrop on network traffic. There's also a higher degree of unauthorized access. Wireless networks are more susceptible to this because they broadcast signals beyond physical boundaries. There's signal interference. Wireless signals can be disrupted by physical obstacles, other wireless devices, and environmental factors, and this can lead to potential security vulnerabilities. There's encryption.
