How about those team members that demand a lot of your time and energy, but still fail to deliver results? They can be really tough to lead. These are your detractors. There are two kinds of detractors, slackers and square pegs. Slackers have the talent to get the work done. They just lack motivation. Leaders can spend a significant amount of time managing slackers. They require constant supervision and motivation. What's frustrating about them is they have the ability to do the work.
