We were expecting this from the get-go. And now it's official! The teardown experts at iFixit have given the Fairphone (Gen. 6+) a perfect 10/10 repairability score. Just like every single one of its predecessors since the Fairphone 2. Once again, our smartphones prove that sustainable tech doesn't have to compromise on engineering excellence. With zero glue inside, the Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is designed to be taken apart in minutes with just a screwdriver. Replace up to 12 parts yourself, from the battery to the display to the USB-C port. Keep the good job 👍 and don't forget that repairability is also for software with patches / updates
Never in any doubt, but well done regardless!
Well done! Kudos!
Well done, good way to minimize electronic waste by long life cycle and possibility to easy repair. One point more, is that the battery could be easy changed , if you travel as backpacker...
Fairphone The circuit board where the SoC is soldered can be replaced?
i've been drooling over you for a long time. if i can ever get one on a decent US carrier, my entire family will (be forced to) sign up. :-) i know it's hard...respect for all the hard work. we need more of you.
Still using my Fairphone 4, I just changed the battery and works amazing
Thank you iFixit for recognising that repairability is at the core of what we do and that we do it well! 💚
