Google’s AI Overviews aren’t killing clicks. They’re reshaping them. A massive new usability study (275 tasks, 91,559 words analyzed with RAG + ChatGPT-5) just dropped: AIOs resolve ~85% of factual queries fast. But… when the stakes are high — money, health, big decisions — users still click out. They turn to names they trust: Mayo Clinic, PayPal, Reddit, YouTube. Here’s what hit me: efficiency-first users dwell for 14 seconds and barely scroll. Trust-driven users? Nearly a full minute, 2.7x more scrolling, often hopping domains. That’s where business actually happens. AI handles the trivia, authority handles the transactions. If you’re leading SEO or growth, this is the wake-up call. Your traffic strategy can’t rely on query coverage alone. Authority is currency. Users still validate with blue links, communities, and recognizable brands. Build visibility inside AIO and build trust outside it. Well... Organic is not dead — it’s just evolving into layers of validation. #SEO #AIOverviews #OrganicSearch #DigitalMarketing Source: https://lnkd.in/ePFHrppe

AI traffic is tiny… but it’s growing 7x faster than search. New Seranking https://lnkd.in/eUKHH8D2 data shows that in 2025, AI platforms drive just 0.15% of global internet traffic vs Google’s 48.5%. But here’s the kicker: users from AI referrals spend 67% more time on-site than search visitors. ChatGPT leads with ~78% of all AI referrals, Perplexity sits at ~15% (and nearly 20% in the US), and Gemini trails at ~6%. Smaller players like Claude and DeepSeek drive the longest sessions — up to an hour in EU markets. Why this matters for us as SEOs and growth marketers: • Capture intent shifts early. Your buyers may be starting their journey in ChatGPT or Perplexity instead of Google. • Optimize beyond rankings. Visibility in AI-generated answers will shape perceived authority, not just clicks. • Test for engagement, not volume. Today’s AI clicks are scarce, but the time-on-site data screams “qualified traffic.” #SEO #AIforMarketing #DigitalGrowth #OrganicTraffic Source: https://lnkd.in/eUKHH8D2

Friday Fun Tips W/ Brett Not a real thing yet but maybe? 🤔 I was getting ready for a call today and noticed this potential client’s local listings were all over the place and inconsistent. When Google evaluates businesses for local rankings, it looks at your listings (Google, Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps, etc.) as a trust signal. If your Name, Address, and Phone aren’t consistent, it Inconsistent listings = less confidence from Google that your business info is accurate. When that happens, you’re less likely to show up in local results. Here’s a super simple fix that not only helps your local SEO but also makes sure you actually show up in AI search results (Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.). 🤔 What are “local listings”? Your business info (name, address, phone, hours, website) on sites like Google Maps, Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps. Basically the digital “yellow pages” AI pulls data from. 📌 Why it matters AI search uses these listings as a data source when recommending businesses. Consistent listings = more trust, better chance of showing up. Reviews + complete profiles = higher visibility. ✅ Places to check your listings today 1. Google Business Profile (the #1 must-have) 2. Yelp (Cringe I know) 3. Bing Places A management tool like Yext, BrightLocal, or Whitespark to clean things up everywhere else. Little effort, big upside — and you’ll be ready for when AI search becomes the main way people find businesses. 🚀 If you want me to email a report hit me up? No gimmicks or sales traps just free info.

Winning online no longer means being #1 on Google Today, brands are competing to be part of the answer itself. When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation, there’s no click, no search results page, just a direct response with a handful of brands mentioned. We’re seeing this shift happen fast: - AI-driven traffic converts 10–23X better than traditional organic - Engagement rates hit 72.5%, compared to 60.4% from search - Most brands aren’t even tracking it Here’s how to prepare for this new discovery layer: + Create LLM.txt files so AI tools can retrieve your data cleanly + Post on AI-driven forums like Reddit and Quora using automation to build trust signals + Insure organic traffic streams early, before competition spikes + Optimize pages for low bounce rates and structured data so LLMs favor your content The future of all organic traffic will come from ranking inside AI answers, not just search engines. Imagine knowing how to rank on Google before anyone else, that’s how early our clients are with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and how early you can be too! Algomizer helps brands appear inside AI-generated answers, win visibility, and capture decisions before they happen. Ready to see how your brand shows up in AI answers? The algorithm changed - now what? Don't panic. Here's the 3-𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗦𝗘𝗢 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. 👇 I use the 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 for every platform shift - Google, ChatGPT, Claude, whatever. Three possible culprits: (1) 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 Interface updates New system prompt Authority requirements changed (2) 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 Web data shifted New players entered Competitor content improved (3) 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 Content updates Schema changes Description modifications Usually it's a combo. 𝗠𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 👉 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 - I rerun the same queries and watch which sites disappear or what new domains suddenly appear. 👉 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 - I look at who's gaining visibility, then trace back what content, links, or optimizations earned them that boost. 👉 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 - I line up any traffic drops with edits, migrations, or schema updates we made that same week. Most algorithm changes aren't mysterious. They're logical shifts with identifiable causes. The key is systematically checking each leg of the stool instead of guessing. — Hey - I'm Jason. 🌟 Just had a look at my analytics, and here’s something interesting… As expected, Google search is still the biggest traffic driver 🚀 But what really caught my eye 👉 traffic coming from AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and even Grok! It feels like the way people discover websites is slowly changing – not just search engines anymore, but also AI assistants guiding users to the right content. Some fun insights from the past 90 days: ✅ Google leads with 53%+ of users ✅ Bing, Yahoo & DuckDuckGo still alive and kicking 😅 ✅ AI platforms already showing up as real referral sources ✅ Highest average engagement time? Yahoo search – 1 min 30 sec! Makes me think… the future of web traffic might be a blend of search + AI discovery. 🌐🤖 👉 Need any help to rank higher on Google or even get discovered on AI platforms? Some interesting new data just came out that should influence how we think about our digital strategy. According to Similarweb data, here's what happened in August: 95.3% of ChatGPT users also visited Google Only 14.3% of Google users checked out ChatGPT Google still had 83.8 billion visits vs ChatGPT's 5.8 billion What does this mean for businesses? First, Google isn't going anywhere. Even people using AI tools are still turning to Google for most of their searches. Traditional search engines maintain 95% market share. But here's what's interesting - ChatGPT traffic is growing fast. Some sites are seeing huge increases in referral traffic from AI tools. Search Engine Land saw their ChatGPT traffic jump over 1,200% in August. The takeaway for companies? You still need to prioritize Google and traditional SEO. That's where most of your traffic will come from. But don't ignore AI search optimization either. We're seeing users cross-check AI answers on Google, use both tools for different types of queries, and generally treat them as complementary rather than competing platforms. The smart move is probably focusing 80% of your search efforts on Google while experimenting with AI optimization for the remaining 20%. Test what works for your industry and adjust from there. Are you seeing AI tools driving traffic to your company's website yet? How are you balancing traditional SEO with AI search optimization? #DigitalMarketing #AISeo #SearchMarketing #ChatGPT #Kramate
