Microsoft recently announced changes to the default meeting settings for #Copilot. Likely starting now for some, Copilot WITHOUT transcription will be the default for new meetings. It's an interesting turn of events for those of us who have been through rounds of debates with security & risk managers about the risk transcripts pose and with users about the value of Copilot as a meeting assistant without transcription or post-meeting capability. And now it seems we're taking the path of lesser risk, which hopefully will lead to some higher adoption for those risk averse orgs and also get more focus on improvement to the in-meeting functionality. Before you get too excited: this isn't going to fix you forgetting to get notes before the meeting ends. But you will be able to switch between chat and Copilot without losing your Copilot convo, and that's a small win. And we'll be getting back the previously short-lived ability to turn Copilot (and transcription) off mid-meeting. #progress! I think this marks a shift in Microsoft's expectations for Copilot use in meetings. What's everyone else think about this one?

I'm all for more secure meetings, but I do think it's interesting that this isn't that big of a topic for those companies leveraging Zoom instead of Teams. I guess I'd have to do a bit more homework, but that's my initial observation.
