Shaurya Verma’s Post

We placed 2nd at the AI Tinkerers Hyderabad X Claude Code Central Hackathon supported by Anthropic Huge shoutout to my partner Sidharth Jain - we went from a whiteboard idea to a working, demoable product in a single build day, and somehow came out as runners-up. What we built: FDM (Forward Deployment Manager) - think version control for the reasoning behind code, not just the code itself. The problem: when a team builds with AI in the terminal, the founding developer holds all the "why" - why a line exists, what edge cases it protects, which approaches were tried and rejected. None of that travels with the code. So the next developer changes it, and silently breaks something no one remembered was load-bearing. FDM sits quietly between every developer and their AI coding agent. Before any code gets edited, it checks the change against the stored reasoning, surfaces the backstory ("here's why this exists and what you'd break"), and routes real conflicts to an approver through a clean dashboard - then updates its own memory once a decision is made. Built terminal-first on Claude Code, in hours, under pressure. The best part wasn't the placement though - it was the energy in the room. A day of builders shipping fast, sharp feedback, and zero ego. Thank you to the AI Tinkerers Hyderabad and community for putting it together. More of this, please.
