LLMs are like super-moms, vast intelligent beings that can replicate pieces of their own DNA to give birth to smaller, specialized children. Each child inherits part of the mother’s knowledge, but not all her size or appetite. They don’t need billions of parameters or massive data centers to survive, only the relevant genes for the job. These Small Language Models (SLMs) are faster, cheaper, and more focused. They live on devices, in edge servers, or private enterprise systems, each doing one thing exceptionally well. And the “super-mom” keeps learning. Every generation she becomes smarter and passes on better DNA to her offspring. An ecosystem begins to evolve, a single large and wise parent guiding a network of lightweight, specialized descendants. That’s what AI decentralization might actually look like—not a collapse of big models, but a family tree of intelligence spreading outward.

Politicians and tech billionaires want us to believe AI will solve every problem. But automation has always delivered gains to owners, not workers.
