United Launch Alliance IAM Employees Ratify New Contract

Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) have ratified ULA’s new four-year contract offer. The contract became effective on May 2, 2025.

The new contract covers 600 bargaining unit employees from District Lodges #75 and #166, which includes Locals #44, #610 and #2786 performing work on the Atlas V and Vulcan Centaur product lines at both East and West Coast ULA launch sites and Decatur, Alabama, manufacturing facility.

ULA Infrastructure Modifications Continue on Both Coasts

ULA continues to modify launch facilities at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Space Force Base in California for Vulcan launches. At the Cape, construction is underway with the new Amazon Vertical Integration Facility (VIF-A) which will optimize support for Amazon missions to enable our increased launch cadence. When complete, the VIF-A will include features a 45’ roof extension to accommodate the Vulcan rocket and integrated offline vertical integration (OVI) capabilities for Centaur upper stage processing.

At Space Launch Complex (SLC)-3 at Vandenberg, the pad is undergoing renovations for future Vulcan rocket launches. Recently the new upper swing arm was mounted atop the umbilical tower, which serves as the hydrogen vent for the Centaur upperstage. Environmental control and electrical systems are currently being installed on the umbilical tower.

"Shaping the future of space and security"? Really? How about not delaying launches and being on the verge of losing military launches to Space X for starters? This goes beyond marketing ploys.

It's a great vision, but meanwhile, some very important US cities and other such key places are threatened by Hypersonic Missiles Attack... New tracking systems like the Radar from Raytheon to be incorporated in THAAD AIR DEFENCE SYSTEMS can track such flying Missiles with wavy trajectory and Faster than MACH 5 Speed...to give DEFENCE systems some chance to INTERCEPT... So, The US Govt. COULD WORK ON providing... ...Israel like 3 layered Iron Dome like Cover from Conventional and Hypersonic threats to some of its most important Cities and Other Assets!!!

With the proposed multi-layered "Golden Dome," President Trump works to neuter nuclear war while at the same time suggesting to the imagination numerous such domes protecting our allies around the world... even unto our adversaries (each dome to be rent at a price).
