I have games sitting in storage because I don't have anywhere to put them and I can't bear to throw them out.
It's just clutter. It's very rare that I'll come back to a game once I'm done with it, and then it's stuck with me for an eternity. I don't really buy games as frequently as I once did. Those I do buy, I've since started buying electronically.
The convenience of being able to summon any game without locating a disc or cartridge far outstrips the benefit of physically owning it for me.
I do not have any anxiety about being unable to play a game in the future - especially when cheap services like Nintendo Online exists and I can play any classic that I want.
