DENVER, Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Arete Adjusting, LLC, a Third Party Administrator (TPA) member company of international insurance ecosystem +8 Partners, announces Arete Adjusting Asia Pacific Ltd. (Arete AP), a new entity incorporated in Hong Kong.
Launched in North America in March of 2024, Arete Adjusting provides data-driven cargo, liability, and logistics industry claims adjusting. This is the company's first expansion into +8's heartland of Asia Pacific.
Arete AP will provide adjusting services utilizing Crux, an AI-enabled proprietary claims and portfolio management platform built specifically for the cargo, marine, and logistics insurance sector. Crux provides in-depth, real-time visibility into claims handling and data, allowing insurers, brokers, and risk managers to monitor developments on demand.
"Our expansion into Asia Pacific is another step toward delivering smarter, more responsive claims management and technology solutions to insurers and underwriters everywhere," said Phil Bilney, founder and chairman of +8 Partners. "It also extends the company's U.S. reach and capabilities by having an Asian presence supporting the handling of claims arising in Asia from U.S. insurers, one of the country's most important trading regions."
The company will be led by Senior Claims Executive Ao Yuxing ("Yuxing"), a passionate and technically adept marine insurance professional who will be based in the +8 Partners headquarters in Hong Kong.
Yuxing brings extensive expertise in marine insurance claims and maritime law, with leadership experience across multiple major organizations. Her background includes handling complex marine insurance matters such as Charter party disputes, P&I claims, cargo damage cases, and Hull and Machinery claims. She has successfully managed intricate negotiations involving off-hire, laytime and demurrage disputes, maritime liens, and general average settlements. Additionally, Yuxing has served as lead broker for major fleet renewals, managing policies across global markets from Hong Kong to the UK, PRC, Singapore, UAE, and Scandinavian markets.
"Yuxing's deep understanding of both Eastern and Western insurance markets, coupled with her expertise in everything from war risk coverage to yacht business positions Arete AP to deliver unparalleled service to our clients across the region," said Bilney.
"I'm truly excited to join Arete AP and grow it into a thoughtful and responsive presence in the insurance industry. One that stands with carriers, understands their challenges, and delivers solutions that genuinely support their success," said Yuxing.
Yuxing holds a Master of Maritime Law from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Economics majoring in Insurance and Risk Management. Her professional certifications include Insurance Broker, Associate Member of the Association of Average Adjusters (AAA), and a P&I Q Certificate.
