City of Austin Proclaims November 10–14 as Communications Week, Partnering with Ragan Communications to Spotlight the Power of Connection and Innovation

The mayoral proclamation aligns with Ragan’s Future of Communications Conference, uniting industry leaders in Austin to celebrate the role of communicators in shaping thriving communities.

Chicago, IL – October 1, 2025 – The City of Austin and Ragan Communications are coming together to celebrate the vital role of communicators. Mayor Kirk Watson has officially proclaimed November 10–14, 2025, as Communications Week, honoring the essential role communicators play in building informed, engaged, and forward-thinking communities.

The proclamation coincides with Ragan’s Future of Communications Conference, taking place November 12–14 in Austin, where hundreds of communications leaders from across the country will gather to share ideas, spark innovation, and shape the future of the profession.

“Communication is the foundation of informed communities, empowered citizens, and thriving organizations,” reads the proclamation. “Communicators play a vital role in connecting people to purpose, values, and vision – especially in times of change, innovation, and uncertainty.”
