  • We're retiring some of our oldest plans — some built nearly 15 years ago, in the 3G and 4G eras, before our 5G network was fully deployed. These plans have limitations such as slowed data speeds, limited premium data, 480p video, less hotspot data, or little or no international roaming features. You're moving to a modern plan with even more access to America's best wireless technology, enhanced features, and a 5-Year Price Guarantee on the monthly price of your talk, text, and 5G data for peace of mind. We have notified all customers who will see a price impact; if you have questions about your specific transition, the T-Life app and our customer Care team are here to help.

  • Some customers will see no change to their monthly bill. Others will see an increase. Every customer moving to a new plan keeps their current benefits while gaining significant improvements. Check the T-Life app, or see “New plan details” on this page for the exact impact on your account.

  • Your new plan's monthly price for talk, text, and 5G data won't increase for at least five years. The Guarantee excludes taxes and fees, per-use charges, plan add-ons, third-party services (such as satellite connectivity), and network management practices.

  • Your rate plan was covered by either the Un-contract Promise or the Last Month Price Lock. Those were our commitments that only you have the power to change what you pay for your monthly talk, text, and data rate plan. We will pay your final month’s recurring service charge if we raise prices and you choose to leave. Just let us know within 60 days. Learn more here: Price Lock FAQs

    Your new plan comes with our 5-Year Price Guarantee, which guarantees the monthly price of your talk, text, and 5G data for 5 years (exclusions like taxes and fees apply). If you have specific questions about your previous plan and how this transition applies to you, contact Care — a team member can walk you through the details. 

  • Your new plan includes benefits that you have today plus significant improvements that may include enhanced access to our best 5G network, expanded data, even more hotspot access, streaming perks, better international roaming and travel benefits, and more, depending on your plan.   • If you are on one of our older Military, First Responder or 55+ plans, you will be moved to a more modern Military, First Responder or 55+ plan. Your new plan includes benefits that you have today plus significant improvements that may include enhanced access to our best 5G network, expanded data, even more hotspot access, streaming perks, better international roaming and travel benefits, and more, depending on your plan – at discounted rates.   • Your plan will update automatically during your upcoming billing cycle — no action is required on your part. You'll see the changes reflected on your next bill. 

  • Plan updates may apply to connected device lines like watches and tablets, as well as some Home Internet plans. Check the T-Life app or see this page to confirm which of your lines and services are included.

  • Your discounts and AutoPay will continue to apply, with the exception of KickBack which is being retired. If you have a question about a specific discount, the T-Life app or our customer Care team can confirm the details.

  • No. Your tax and fee treatment will remain unchanged as part of the plan transition.

  • The Kickback program is ending and being retired as part of this update. Your new plan is designed to deliver more overall value — with enhanced features and benefits built into your monthly rate. See the plan comparison on this page or contact customer care for details on what's included. 

  • Your current plan is being retired— but you're not locked into the assigned new plan. You can explore all current T-Mobile plans at T-Mobile.com, in the T-Life app, or by contacting customer Care to find the best fit for you.
