Apparently “premium AI dictation” requires a subscription and the cloud. Bullshit. We are literally building tiny models that run ENTIRELY on your devices, do a cloud-like dictation polish, and cost you $0. 1 model shipped. 3 more coming at speeds that shouldn’t be possible.

previously, superwhisper charges a subscription fee even when you just needed to run a _local model_ on your _own hardware_ that’s just blatantly wrong, and was why i chose to use open source solutions you are not “making whisper models free”. it’s already free. you just

Agreed. I think Apple is trying to kill them. Their next iOS update coming out next month supposedly uses Gemini for vastly better speech to text generation. Have you tried fluid voice?

Cloud AI dictation subscriptions are starting to look like a scam. We just got accurate, formatted AI dictation running fully ON YOUR iPhone. If we can do this for free, explain to me why you’re paying $10–20 every month.
