As the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, I was intrigued by Multi Control but sad to read it would only work with a Samsung Galaxy Book.

In this post I’ll be describing how to get Samsung Multi Control working on non-Samsung Galaxy Book. It consists of a few steps. If you’re curious about my reverse engineering path to get to this point, read this forum post from page 3: Question - Samsung multicontrol with non Samsung device? | Page 3 | XDA Forums

If you find my work valuable and would like to contribute financially to support it, I've set up a Paypal or Kofi where you can donate.
  • Download version 1.5.5900.0 of “Samsung System Support Service” from Microsoft Update Catalog.
  • Extract “Samsung System Support Service” in c:\SamSysSupSvc\.
  • Use “Device Manager” to replace the driver of some "Other Device" with the driver in c:\SamSysSupSvc\. Not all devices are suitable. For me, to get a suitable device, I bluetooth pair Windows with my S23 Ultra. This will add a bunch of “Other Devices” like “CONTINUITY_MSG_SPP”.
  • Installing this driver will automatically install Samsung Settings and Samsung Cloud Sync. If it does not, run ms-windows-store://pdp/?ProductId=9P2TBWSHK6HJ
  • Start Samsung Settings, if it's showing Multi Control, you're already finished! If it only shows Connected Devices, Notifications and About, the backend service is crashing and needs a patch.
  • Uninstall “Samsung System Support Service” device driver.
  • Use a hex editor (like HxD) to modify c:\SamSysSupSvc\SamsungSystemSupportEngine.exe replace offset 0x68140 with 0xc3.
  • In a administrative command prompt “sc create SamSysSupSvc binPath=c:\SamSysSupSvc\SamsungSystemSupportService.exe start=auto”.
  • Reboot, check if Samsung Setting shows Connected Devices and Multi Control.
The first time enabling Multi Control will ask to install a few more apps, like Samsung Continuity Service and Samsung Account. It'll also require you to log into your Samsung Account.

Good luck!

Hi,
Ther is no way for me to see the driver you update, even by connecting my samsuns S20 via Bluetooth. It means that the samsung settings 1.5 app doesn't want to download on my computer. Any idea why the driver isn't showing up (I'm on Windows 11)?

Hello! I've been reading the thread and I'm interested, since I have a government computer running Windows 11 and would like to use Samsung's multicontroller, unfortunately I can't access Microsoft's update catalog. Do you have any idea why?

Tried to follow this step by step but it looks like it doesn't work with S22 Ultra. The Continuity_MSG_SPP doesn't show up and I tried updating other devices that showed up but it doesn't allow the driver to be installed. Tried the run and download the samsung settings but it couldn't be downloaded. Any other recommendations?

Hello! I want to communicate that I have followed the steps of the tutorial and I have managed to install the Samsung ecosystem successfully, the conflict came from the network DNS configuration of my computer. The software works perfectly and has allowed me to install Samsung apps from the Microsoft Store that I couldn't install due to the lack of drivers. Best regards

Hello, I've followed all the steps, successfully installed the drivers and started Samsung Settings, but when it comes to enable Multi Control, it just doesn't show any device available, did all the steps with my A52, it doesn't connect to my S6 Lite either, please help.

I made a screencast of following this guide:

    Changelog:
2022-11-30 Specify version "1.5.5900.0" of the "Samsung Support Service".
    8
    ****FIX AFTER UPDATE****

It appears that Samsung Continuity Service has been updated. I was able to get the function back by installing an older version of that application.

To download the older version you must go to the Windows Store app webpage (using your internet browser) and get the URL.

Here is Samsung Continuity Service for the US (it may be a different link for another country): https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9ngw9k44gq5f?hl=en-GB&gl=US

Then you paste that URL into this website: https://store.rg-adguard.net/

This website will show you older versions of the application. Look for version: 1.7.21.0 and make sure its the one that says something at the end similar to "msixbundle".

1.7.21.0 worked for me that is why I recommend that version.

Make sure to allow the download. Then open the downloaded file and allow windows to install the older version of the app.

Turn off and turn back on MultiControl. I had to set mine to autoconnect > All nearby devices.

Hopefully that works for you too. GL!!!

Simply doesn't work for me. Even after using HxD to modify the string, Multi Control never shows up in Samsung Settings. I have wiped all changes and re-performed the steps three times one one system and twice on another, ruling out any system issues. One is Win11 Pro, the other is Win11 Home.
