Manage files & folders in your Dropbox in Gemini Apps

When you connect Dropbox to Gemini Apps, you can ask Gemini to find, summarize, share, and manage your files and folders.

What you need

To connect your Dropbox to Gemini Apps, you need to:

Be 18 or over and in the US.
Be signed in to Gemini Apps with a personal Google Account. For now, this feature isn’t available if you sign in with a work or school Google Account. Learn how to sign in to Gemini Apps.
Have Keep Activity on. Gemini can’t connect to Dropbox when this setting is off.

Important: For now, the Dropbox connected app is:

On your computer, go to gemini.google.com.
Ask Gemini to perform an action in Dropbox, like find files for a specific project.
- Tip: Mention “Dropbox” or add @Dropbox to your prompt.
If Dropbox isn’t connected, you’ll get the option to connect it.
Follow the on-screen instructions to grant permission.

Tip: You can connect or disconnect the Dropbox app anytime in your Connected Apps settings.

Get file revisions & restore files: Get a file’s revision history, and restore a specific version.

List all of my active shared links on Dropbox for the file 'Q3 Financials.xlsx'.
Show me the revision history for my Q4 business proposal. I want to restore the version from last Tuesday.
Move all files inside my 'Receipts' folder to 'Finance 2026' and rename 'contract_draft.docx' to 'Contract_Final_v1.docx'.
