If there’s one TV to rule them all this year, it’s the Samsung S95F OLED TV. Its deep contrast is stunning, and once calibrated, the colors look impressive on the 65-inch model. It also uses a glare-free technology so you can watch your shows in a sunny room without any light glare. 

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the first time I’ve ever seen this TV discounted so low.

One of my favorite budget-friendly panels, the Roku Plus Series TV, just got a steeper 38% discount this Labor Day. It comes with the Roku OS built-in, and Roku executives have shared with me that the TV comes pre-calibrated for American audiences. Therefore, it’s as close to plug-and-play in a TV as possible. I also named this the best value 65-inch TV on the market right now.

Why It’s A Good Deal: This deal matches the second-lowest price I’ve seen. It’s not a super rare deal, but it’s an impressive one nonetheless.

If you’re seeking to future-proof your TV, this is the older model of the best 8K gaming TV I’ve tested this year. Its Mini-LED panel produces stunning color, and the 75-inch size is great for larger spaces. It offers Samsung Tizen, which includes the Samsung Gaming Hub so you can game stream, too. I’m also a fan of the ambient modes to enjoy major works of art, coffee shop scenes and more on your screen when you’re not watching movies.

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the second best price I’ve seen on this premium model in the 75-inch size.

With Dolby Vision (something Samsung TVs don’t offer), HLG and HDR10, this LG TV model can showcase lovely colors and dark blacks. LG’s webOS is intuitive, and you can use Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home to issue voice commands to this panel. The 8K display is another perk, too, and provides rich on-screen details.

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the lowest price I’ve seen on this model.

My pick for the best gaming TV for PlayStation owners, the Sony Bravia 8 showcases a lovely picture for movies and games. The display offers deep, inky OLED blacks as well as HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. Because it’s an OLED panel, you also get a wider viewing angle than a Mini-LED offers. The Sony Bravia 8 also uses Google TV, so you can use Google Assistant to issue voice commands.

Why It’s A Good Deal: While it’s lowest price ever was $1,498, at $100 more, this is still a great deal. It’s also worth noting that the original price has risen from $2,500 to $2,800, before dropping to $1,698 over Labor Day weekend.

Another outdoor TV option, the Furrion Aurora is my pick for the best small outdoor TV. It offers a 4K LED picture and has an IP54 water-resistance rating, so it’s protected against dust and rain. (Keep in mind it’s not protected against full-blown downpours, so keep it under a canopy.)  You also get access to LG’s webOS software to stream your favorite sports games too.

Why It’s A Good Deal: The 50-inch model is typically on Amazon for $1,800, making this $300 cheaper model a solid discount.

As my pick for the best value gaming TV, the Hisense U8 Series Mini-LED panel has plenty of features to make it worthy of adding to your home. The Google software is intuitive and offers voice commands and user profiles. More importantly, the display gets plenty bright for sunny living rooms. Plus, you get a 120Hz refresh rate, which helps keep your frame rates smooth when gaming and watching sports.

Why It’s A Good Deal: While it’s not the lowest price I’ve seen—it was $998 in July—the price tag is the second lowest price in the last 12 months.

My pick for the best outdoor TV, the Samsung The Terrace Full Sun Outdoor TV, includes an IP56 waterproof rating to protect against rainstorms and dust. The TV can deliver a sky-high brightness for watching during the sunniest of days, and if you’re going through a heat wave and it gets toasty, the display will automatically dim to protect the hardware. And, as a perk, it still offers access to Samsung’s Tizen OS, which does include the Samsung Gaming Hub.

Why It’s A Good Deal: While it’s dropped to $5,500 before, this is only $449 more. Considering its $9,999 price tag, this is still an excellent deal.

My top pick for the best gaming TV you can use for both cloud gaming and connecting all your favorite consoles, the LG G5 OLED Evo 4K TV is a great choice for sunny living rooms. Its contrast is stellar thanks to its OLED display, and you can use the LG Gaming Portal to play your favorite games via cloud gaming; just add a controller via Bluetooth and you’re set. The LG Free Channels allow for casual TV viewing, too.

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the third time I’ve seen this TV discounted, and the best price I’ve ever seen.

Amazon’s 65-Inch Omni QLED 4K Fire TV may not be the best TV I’ve tested, but it still has plenty going for it. Amazon’s Alexa ecosystem comes built-in, and it’s easy to use voice commands to pull up favorite shows, set timers and much more. Because it’s a Fire TV, you can connect an Amazon Luna controller to play your favorite cloud games via the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service. 

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the second lowest price I’ve seen on the Amazon model. The lowest price was during Amazon Prime day, but I don’t expect it to fall that low again until possibly Black Friday.

My pick for the best TV for a bright room, the Samsung QN90F Neo QLED 4K TV, is also on sale this Labor Day at its lowest price to date. This bright QLED TV is perfectly suited for bright living rooms, thanks to its Glare-Free display. It also has plenty of HDMI 2.1 ports to plug in all your favorite gaming consoles. 

Why It’s A Good Deal: This is the lowest price I’ve seen on the Samsung QN90F.

This LG TV hits vibrant colors and inky blacks to deliver excellent contrast and saturation. However, it’s not quite as bright at the LG G5 (our favorite gaming TV), which is also on sale in the 55-inch model. The TV has a wide viewing angle, ideal for larger living rooms, and an upgraded remote that is easier to navigate than its predecessor. 

Why It’s A Good Deal: The original retail price of this TV varies depending on the retailers, but this is the best price I’ve seen for the LG C5.

This may be last year’s version of the Samsung S95 series TV, but the Samsung S95D OLED TV is brighter than most OLED models, delivers rich color and has an impressive matte coating that helps handle reflections. I found the Samsung Tizen OS was intuitive for both gaming and streaming, and speaking of gaming, the TV comes equipped with multiple HDMI 2.1 ports, a high 144Hz refresh rate and an almost non-existing input lag. 

Why It’s A Good Deal: This TV has dropped by an additional $100 in July, but this is the next best price I’ve seen.

If you’re looking for a TV that blends into the décor of your home when not in use, The Frame Pro is the way to go. Part smart TV, part work of art, the Frame is a great middle-of-the-road design that delivers all the TV essentials you’d expect when you need it, and transforms into your favorite piece of art when you don’t. If you’re a gamer or a cinephile, you may be better served by a TV that prioritizes your hobbies, but if you’re just looking for a good TV that blends into your day-to-day life, this is a great option.
