An inspiring day at the "Pathways to Inclusion: Bridging the Digital Divide & Advancing the Future of Work for Immigrant Women Summit", hosted by Newcomer Women's Services Toronto. 🌍Bringing together leaders, changemakers, and advocates, the summit explored how we can ensure equitable access to the future of work - especially for newcomer women whose resilience and contributions continue to shape our communities. Achēv's Senior Vice President, Moya MacKinnon, joined as a panelist to discuss 📢 “Skills for Tomorrow: Upskilling, Reskilling, and Reclaiming Economic Power”, alongside sector experts: Stephanie Hodnett, from University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, Sonya Goldman, MBA, from WoodGreen Community Services, Salima T. from WCG Services, and Dayana Tellez, from Future Skills Centre - Centre des Compétences futures. Together, they shared insights on how we can build inclusive pathways to economic empowerment through skills development and innovation, and the possibilities that Artificial Intelligence brings to increasing access and furthering impact. ⭐ A highlight of the day was the deeply moving & personal story shared by Sara Asalya, Executive Director of Newcomer Women's Services Toronto. Her journey to Canada and the challenges she overcame as a newcomer woman demonstrate her courage, perseverance, and the importance of ‘doing things her way’. Her voice continues to inspire and lead the way for so many others. We also celebrate the incredible announcement by Dean Susan Christoffersen and Dr. Walid Hejazi from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management: a commitment to fund 25 scholarships for newcomer women - a transformative investment in the future of inclusive leadership! 👏 Achēv remains committed to advancing opportunities for newcomer women and building a future of work that leaves no one behind. #FutureofWork #PathwaystoInclusion #NewcomerWomen #WorkforceDevelopment #ChangeMakers #AchevEmpowers #InclusiveLeadership #DigitalEquity #UpskillingCanada
