Please, please, please, just keep it simple. We don't need another VTT, let those guys do the fancy stuff. Just make the maps from the modules available, and all the creature tokens. DM's can already manage encounters through that, and it will flow into Maps as demonstrated. We don't need sounds, status effects, or anything like that. Do what you do best to make playing the game accessible to everyone. Let the pros at VTT do their job and those people that want sounds, effects, status markers spend their money on those systems.
Mercenaries of the Ironclad Regiment use the [Tooltip Not Found] stat block. Members of the Vogler militia also use the [Tooltip Not Found] stat block, but their spears are padded and deal no damage.
From the looks of the released Strahd stat block, we'll be back to homebrewing it once again. When will WotC actually hire game designers again? I'll keep sticking to my 3.5 books I guess and making my own stat blocks.
1. This is going called the Dungeon Master's guide. Nothing is meant for a player to use. Everything is meant for a DM to use and optional to their game. Nothing wrong if they use it or not. 2. These empowered items don't have to be crafted by players, but DMs can craft them to award the players, and it makes easy crafting of unique items, instead of a whole book or 5 (leather bound 2ed books). 3. For some you don't have to use them at all, for instance I highly doubt any of my campaigns or games will allow time for players to make a magic item with any other than a 1 maybe 2nd level spell in it. Plus, DM's can decide the recipe, maybe it's a quest to build it. Make them work for it.
None of these things are rules they are all guides, WOTC doesn't decide what D&D is for everyone.
Awesome, my dire wolf's enspelled claws with booming blade on them from now on. Ambush Drakes will have enspelled bites with poison spray and so on, and so one. so many new DM tools.

Tool tips are not links to the stat block.
