posted a message on spells still rolling with 5e rules not not 5.5e rules

Last night I used a spell I had not used before which was Blades of Disaster. When I used the spell last night, it rolled with the Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun number of die for a normal hit. However later I crit on an 18 and it rolled the normal damage listed for the new rules (10d6) but it also rolled 8d12 extra damage for the crit which is from the old Tasha's rules and not the new Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun rules which does not mention 8d12 force. I am playing a 5.5e character and had to reroll the extra damage as it rolled incorretly in DND Beyond. I am trying to report this, but I don't know whom to contact or if it will ever get changed. Please Help.

    Tasha's:

You create a blade-shaped planar rift about 3 feet long in an unoccupied space you can see within range. The blade lasts for the duration. When you cast this spell, you can make up to two melee spell attacks with the blade, each one against a creature, loose object, or structure within 5 feet of the blade. On a hit, the target takes 4d12 force damage. This attack scores a critical hit if the number on the d20 is 18 or higher. On a critical hit, the blade deals an extra 8d12 force damage (for a total of 12d12 force damage).

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the blade up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see and then make up to two melee spell attacks with it again.

The blade can harmlessly pass through any barrier, including a wall of force.

    Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun:

You create a 3-foot-long blade-shaped planar rift that lasts for the duration. The rift appears within range in a space of your choice, and you can immediately make up to two melee spell attacks, each one against a creature or object within 5 feet of the rift. On a hit, the target takes 10d6 Force damage. This attack scores a Critical Hit if the number on the d20 is 18 or higher.

As a Bonus Action on your later turns, you can move the rift up to 60 feet and repeat the two attacks against a creature or an object within 5 feet of it. You can direct the attacks at the same target or at different ones.

The blade can harmlessly pass through any barrier, including ones created by spells like Wall of Force.

posted a message on Grimoire Infinitus not allowing extra prepared as stated it would

I don't know who to cantact about this so maybe someone can point me in the correct direction. One of the magic items that I have for one of my characters on DND Beyond is the Grimoire Infinitus which has three stages: Dormant, Awakened, Exalted. I have this magic item in its dormant stage so far. This magic item says the following for the dormant stage:

"Most of the book is blank, but the following spells are recorded in the first pages of the tome: alarm, antimagic field, Bigby’s hand, blight, charm person, confusion, control weather, create undead, detect thoughts, enlarge/reduce, fear, foresight, gaseous form, glyph of warding, legend lore, Leomund’s tiny hut, mass suggestion, mislead, misty step, Mordenkainen’s faithful hound, prismatic spray, ray of enfeeblement, silent image, teleport, and thunderwave.

You can use the grimoire as your spellbook, and you can scribe new spells into it as normal. When you prepare wizard spells using the grimoire, the number of wizard spells you can prepare increases by 1."

I have this book both equipped and attuned to me. I manually added all the spells that I can at the moment that is not above my current level since this program did not add them automatically as I thought it would happen when I found the book, equipped it, and attuned to it. However, what I can't make work is the number of wizard spells I can prepare. As you can see, it says that it increases by 1. The program will NOT let me prepare any more leveled spells above what I am already allotted: level + int mod. which for me is 17 total I can prepare without this magic item. I have tried with all three versions of this magic item: Dormant, Awakened, and Exalted in which one can prepare one extra spell per awakening of the magic item to see if it worked for any other state and everytime it just allows me to prepare spells as if I did not own the magic item

Can someone please point me to the correct person to contact about this.

Thank you for your time and aid.

Yes. Like I said, this changed not too long ago. I have been using Beyond 20 for about 6 months.

posted a message on Rolls not working correctly

For the past week to week and a half on all my PC sheets, certain items on my sheet are not working. These are recent occurrances. My group who are online wants to see the dice roll and does not want us to just tell them what we rolled. They will not even accept a physical dice roll. So it does not help that the follow features are not working properly.

    1. I have been unable to roll saving throws, i.e. strength, dexterity, etc. Everytime I hit the button to roll, it brings up what the saving throw does and does not roll.

    2. My dexterity has not been added to my initiative roll, even with the toggle active, as it had done in the past.

    3. When I go to roll an ability check for the first time, it rolls twice without the advantage button activated with the first roll stating what ability check it was for and the second just shows dice roll without stating the ability check.

As I said, this is all recent. I knew you were going to do some updates, so I waited to see if it got corrected which it did not.

Thank you in advance for any help.
