Java Applet

[edit source]

The Java Applet section seems to have a little of a POV issue. As with all the plugin platforms, they all need to be installed by the browser, and they are usually not installed by default - rather, I believe that Flash may have been marketed as easier to create animations or otherwise the most suitable as an HTML plugin. --Sigma 7 (talk) 16:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

For beginners?

[edit source]

As a C++ programmer I find all this quite interesting, but since this wikibook is addressed towards beginners the reader should imho not be bothered with client-server architecture at this point (i.e.: before he hasn't even written one line of code). After all this is a book and those are usually meant to be read one page after another. 77.24.97.9 (talk) 13:24, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree; it's teh same as the previous module concerning the compilation of Java programs, where it goes in depth into the many different ways a java project can be compiled, this chapter could be striped down to just explaining the use of the java command, I'd go as far to say we should simply delete this module and keep compiling and executing Java programs to one module, then mention the different methods of execution in later chapters or appendixes, far easier for the beginner. --Mattylaws (talk) 00:05, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

the green navigation bar at the top of each page should also be at the bottom of each page, its handy at the top as it lets u skip through topics, but when u get to the bottom of reading a page it would be nice not to have to scroll back to the top.

Classpath

[edit source]

This refers to the classpath but doesn't explain it in any way. There should be another section about this. 81.187.215.34 (discuss) 17:19, 2 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
