Birthdays and Wills
[edit]There seems to be an ongoing slow-motion edit war about whether to include in the list the "1,000-something" birthday of ancient figures, and whether to include the scheduled release dates of the wills of various people, including members of the Royal Family. Personally, I think that this is WP:TRIVIA that doesn't need to be mentioned, but the Royal Family Wills does have a citation behind it (the other stuff doesn't), and I'm preemptively bringing this here (and will also request temporary page protection as all warring parties are already confirmed) for further discussion. I take no position on the content myself. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 17:54, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- Content is just vandalism. Take the first item,
2217: The will Bella Bond is scheduled to become public knowledge
, like a two year old murder victim has a will. Same for2904: The will Dean Shillingsworth is scheduled to become public knowledge
, same applies with the additional caveat of 900 years being preposterous. FDW777 (talk) 18:14, 31 October 2025 (UTC)- Yikes... I didn't notice those two. Definitely not a good look. Though at least some of the disputed content was/is definitely plausible like the tidbits about the Royal Family and something or another concerning a time capsule. So it's not obvious vandalism, even if parts of the content are implausible. Thus even if I had noticed the two questionable entries I would probably have still treated it as routine edit-warring to be safe. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 21:15, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- Some of these are not even millennial anniversaries. For instance 2902 "886th anniversary of Alfie Evans." 21stCenturyCynic (talk) 17:08, 16 October 2026 (UTC)

27th century
[edit]Could somebody add something like this?: c. 2600: Due to Earth's axial precession the point of March equinox will move from the constellation of Pisces to that of Aquarius, according to the official constellation boundaries defined by the International Astronomical Union in 1929.
2061 event
[edit]I believe the fortune of Halley's commit in August of 2061 should be added to this list. ~2026-25567-40 (talk) 16:02, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
2100 etc.
[edit]2100 is the end of the 21st century, not the beginning of the 22nd. In general: 100x is the end of the xth century, not the beginning of the x+1st. Alfa-ketosav (talk) 14:01, 8 May 2026 (UTC)
How many of these "predictions" are actually plausible and which are just baseless speculation ?
[edit]I belive that many of these topics are things that are highly unlikely to happen. We also need to have serious discussion on what should be included in the list and what shouldn't. ~2026-27869-71 (talk) 09:37, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
- To add on;I dont think the long player deserves a mention. ~2026-27869-71 (talk) 09:39, 9 May 2026 (UTC)

The 2099 upper year limit in BIOS
[edit]I find this sentence:
- 2099 is the maximum year that can be set on computers with BIOS firmware [...]
in need of some clarification: which BIOS? I presume the sentence was written back when UEFI wasn't a thing yet, e.g., those pre-2010 old BIOSes. Modern BIOSes with their fancy GUIs and FHD output has extended the time limit into arbitrary values, (only that Windows will give up working if one dares to do so. Don't set it to 9999/12/31, how I know...) 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk / Commons / 12:17, 21 August 2026 (UTC)
