Howdy! I'm ferret, a semi-/mostly-retired former administrator. I used to mostly patrol for vandalism and gnome, but these days I just read things and occasionally fix little things. I keep my barnstars at User:Ferret/Barnstars.

A very quick remark on Wikipedia:Wiki Workers United solidarity and opposes expressed at the RfAs for MCE89 and Staraction: I find it deeply disturbing that there are views that withholding volunteer work, for any reason, either individually or as a group, pledged ahead of time or not, due to dissatisfaction with WMF or any other process, is being touted as "disruption" to the project. My own retirement is in part due to dissatisfaction with WMF actions and direction, though not wholly so. Does that mean my retirement is "disruption"? Should I be sanctioned in some manner? Multiple individuals say they aren't pursuing recalls against the 60+ admins who signed the pledge because it wouldn't go anywhere, would therefore be pointy, and therefore be disruption in and of itself. And yet they will level that pointy disruption at individuals facing a very stressful community process, with a similar lack of result.
