Hello. Your recent edit to Fingerboard (skateboard) appears to have added a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 14:34, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Hello Skywatcher!
- Thank you for taking the time to review my submissions to the Fingerboarding Wikipedia page! Although I would love to write an entire Wikipedia article about Mike Schneider, unfortunately I am not allowed to according to the parameters of my school assignment. All of my submissions to this Wikipedia page are done under the supervision of my amazing teacher! My reasoning behind adding a notable fingerboarders tab to the Wikipedia page was because they didn't already have their own stand-alone Wikipedia pages. It felt wrong to exclude their individual contributions to the fingerboarding community as they are a part of its history! If you could let me know why you view one of my entries as "non-notable" in more specifics, I would love to go from there! (P.S. The reasoning behind all of the "PCH__comp_" usernames is because my school, PCH, is doing an assignment to add information to Wikipedia!)
- Reguards,

- Okay, thanks for the explanation.
- As far as Wikipedia is concerned, a person or company is only notable if they have their own article. Does your assignment allow for the creation of drafts? –Skywatcher68 (talk) 15:51, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Unfortunately as the assignment deadline is coming up I will be unable to create an entire draft. If I simply change the title of the subsections to "Influential Fingerboarders" "Influential Companies" and instead of calling them "Notable", does that fix the issue, or is it the content itself not being related to a current Wikipedia page that is an issue? - The very last thing you said is exactly the problem, unfortunately. They just can't be added at all. TooManyFingers (he/him · talk) 20:47, 29 October 2026 (UTC)

- By the way: if any of you plan to edit Wikipedia outside of the classroom, I suggest creating an alternate username or changing this one when the assignment is over. See WP:MULTIPLE and WP:UNC for details. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 16:13, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your reply! We were really wondering who all these suddenly appearing new PCH accounts might be.
- Could you please pass on to your teacher that LLM (AI) use is not allowed on Wikipedia? Some of the edits made by PCH accounts have looked an awful lot like LLM. Here's the guideline: WP:NOLLM. Thanks. M kuhner (talk) 17:52, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Absolutely! I will do that! Students should already know this, how frustrating! PCHJWcomp7 (talk) 17:54, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! Tell your teacher they can contact me (either on-Wiki or by email) if I can be of any help. Good luck with your project! M kuhner (talk) 18:02, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
- Please also ask your teacher to urgently read Wikipedia:School and university projects/Instructions for teachers and lecturers and in particular the part about creating a project page. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits; 10:19, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
