The Teahouse

The Task Center
Learn what Wikipedians do and discover how to help. Has a list of maintenance tasks you can do.

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and reach a consensus there before restoring the edit.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source. Do not use AI-generated text.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Hello! Thanks for the welcome. Sylv302 (talk) 17:08, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I do have one question about the Notability rule of wikipedia. My favorite music artist is a smaller artist, around 300k monthly listeners. I would really like to give her an article but it would suck to put time into an article that is removed for not being notable enough. Her name is Issbrokie and currently searches of her name redirect to Danny Brown's album, "Stardust" Sylv302 (talk) 17:17, 2 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Liberty of Subject (August 13)

[edit]
Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Sulfurboy, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the subject meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
Not sure this is notable enough for a standalone article. Likes just needs to be folded into the larger Magna Carta article

Next steps

  • Edit Draft:Liberty of Subject to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
  • When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.
  • If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it may be deleted.

Fair enough honestly! I just wanted something to do and honestly this seemed like it would maybe be notable enough but I'm not sure. Sorry for taking your time, I'm still pretty new and I wasn't aware of the notable rule before I joined wikipedia so its been a bit of a struggle for me. Have a good day!
