Dravecky

[edit]

I just wanted to take a moment to remember our good friend and a driving force behind this project, and others, Dravecky. We lost him 4 years ago today, April 23.

An admin, he was honored with 3 good articles and 145 DYKs, plus he had 104,715 edits to his name, including one (his last) the morning he passed. Dravecky was a friend to all, on and off Wikipedia. A SciFi fan above all else. He helped do the behind the scenes stuff (along with his longtime girlfriend Robyn) for FenCon, WhoFest, among many others and met many of his favorite actors and actresses. He loved his University of Alabama Crimson Tide football.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say he is still missed by all here. Roll Tide, Dravecky. :) - Neutralhomer • Talk • 15:39 on April 23, 2020 (UTC) • #StayAtHome

I’d Like to Join!

[edit]

Hey, I’m Central Place, I recently joined wikipedia and would like to join WikiProject Wikipedia Radio Stations.

This is because I have been listening to top 40 radio for years and I’ve been DXing for 5 years. Enough said?

If you need me to update any articles or logos, I can help :) especially those in the northeast Central Place (talk) 01:05, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

{{K-LOVE}}

[edit]

The activity of K-Love Inc./the Educational Media Foundation on the station trading market has caused this template to steadily expand, up 45% in byte size in 10 years. It consists of a single flat list of 380 entries. There has to be a better way to organize these stations, perhaps by region. We also have a category and a list. It could be repurposed as not a stations list and more of a topical navbox with articles like K-Love Classics, K-Love Fan Awards, Educational Media Foundation, and List of K-Love stations. I'm looking for some feedback on what to do with this navbox. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 16:43, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

The easiest way would be by state, much like ESPN Radio & NPR's nav boxes. MrRadioGuy P T C E 03:52, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
One thing about the template is that while it has 380 entries, not all of them have articles. Reviewing List of K-Love stations for originating stations with articles only, I get:
  • AL: 6
  • AK: 0
  • AS: 1
  • AZ: 3
  • AR: 1
  • CA: 16
  • CO: 3
  • CT: 1
  • FL: 8
  • GA: 8
  • HI: 2
  • ID: 2
  • IL: 4
  • IN: 4
  • IA: 3
  • KS: 2
  • KY: 6
  • LA: 4
  • ME: 4
  • MD: 3
  • MA: 5
  • MI: 3
  • MN: 2
  • MS: 7
  • MO: 4
  • MT: 1
  • NE: 0
  • NV: 1
  • NH: 3
  • NJ: 3
  • NM: 1
  • NY: 8
  • NC: 12
  • ND: 1
  • OH: 8
  • OK: 2
  • OR: 1
  • PA: 10
  • PR: 1
  • RI: 1
  • SC: 3
  • TN: 4
  • TX: 7
  • UT: 2
  • VA: 11
  • VI: 1
  • WA: 6
  • WV: 2
  • WI: 3
  • WY: 0
There would only be templates in 17 states if we decide on a minimum of 5 entries. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 07:13, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Audacy stations on SiriusXM

[edit]

How do we want to mark these channels in infoboxes? Do we want to add another field or just blend them into the frequency section (like I've done on WXYT-FM with their SXM channel and a short mention of its addition) or as a repeater (see my edit on WFAN (AM))? I'm not planning to mention it broader until I see other consensus on how to acknowledge it. Nathannah • 📮 23:55, 6 September 2026 (UTC) @Nathannah: The way you did it on WXYT is perfect. WDKF/WNFL

[edit]

These two articles do need an update, but will also need help with figuring out where to put information as the FM station WDKF is now WNFL, while the longtime AM WNFL became WDKF and is now in a silent STA, plus article title moves. Nathannah • 📮 00:42, 29 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Nathannah Done... A bit of a rush job. The AM is at WNFL (AM) until it goes back on the air, since if it doesn't that'd be the correct title. (With this kind of silence, there is a higher than normal chance of permanent silence.) A lot of personality and programming info needs to go in the FM article.
