I’m creating a new variant for a wordmark lockup. Changing the color variable applied to the vector that comprises the wordmark itself does 2 things it shouldn’t: it resizes the vector and it skews the vector. Aspect ratio lock is not turned on for the wordmark vector, but I have made zero size/scale changes; I have only changed the color. This makes zero sense.

Hi there everyone,The tab bar has been annoying me for a long time now and I was wondering why it won't get fixed. Currently, if you have a lot of tabs open (don't tell me I shouldn't do that, I know I can handle it, don't worry about me), you cannot really navigate through them because scrolling is not possible, grouping is not a thing and the tab button on the right shows some magic order of the tabs which is not the same order they are shown in the regular tab bar.May I suggest a few improvements?Make the tab bar scrollable, seems like an easy and quick fix, a lot of apps do this these days. Make grouping possible (with expanding/collapsing), a lot of apps do this too. Make the order of the tabs after clicking the tab button match the order of the files (left to right should be top to bottom).I noticed that a lot of people have already requested this in a way, and all of those topics seem to have been closed. Please fix this issue for us power users (that actually do remember where

Hi all,new org admin here, so bear with me. I have trouble organizing the users in my instance to specific teams and user groups. I do plan to use groups for SSO config, so will add groups to team access. What i am really missing, is there a way to see specific user membership in team and/or group without exporting csv? Like when you click on one user details, you should be able to see which Teams user has access to, additionally, imagine having the info, on the type of access for each Team.

Hello! There used to be an awesome feature in Figma—the prompt history—that allowed you to see all the prompts and easily return to them. Now it’s gone, and we’re all quite upset: we lose context, it’s hard to repeat solutions, and work efficiently. Please bring back this capability or suggest an alternative. Thank you!

Dear Support Team,My name is 여정연, and I have been successfully using Figma with a student verification account. However, when I tried to re-verify my student status, I keep encountering the "Figma Education Verification Limit Exceeded" error, which has locked me out of my account for several days.I am currently an active student at Kaywon University in South Korea and have already submitted my tuition receipt as proof. Despite this, the same error persists, and I cannot access my workspace. This email account (dkdus1358@naver.com) contains many important projects, and this is a critical period for my studies, making this issue a massive setback for me. I have already reached out to SheerID support multiple times, but I keep receiving automated responses without any actual resolution. Please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible.Thank you,

Description:After today's Figma update, the option to reuse recent prompts is gone from the AI image tools (Make an image / Edit image). Before the update, I could pick a previously used prompt from a list. Now I have to retype the full prompt every time I generate or edit an image.Steps to reproduce:Select an image or frame and open the AI image generation / edit image tool. Enter a prompt and generate. Open the tool again on another image.Expected: A "Recent prompts" list (or history) is available to reuse or tweak previous prompts.Actual: No prompt history. The input field is empty, and the prompt must be written from scratch.Impact: This significantly slows down iterative work. I often apply the same or slightly modified prompts to many images in a row, and retyping them each time is a major workflow regression.Request: Please restore the recent prompts history, or let me know where it was moved if it still exists.Environment: Figma desktop app, macOS

Hello everyone,I am facing a persistent login issue with Figma Weave that completely blocks me from accessing the tool.Steps to reproduce:I go to the Figma Weave welcome/login screen. I click the "Log in with Figma" button. The page turns dark and gets stuck on a loading spinner for a while. Eventually, it redirects me back to the login screen with a red error banner at the top: "Email/password login isn't available. Please sign in with Google or Microsoft." Important details:I cannot use the other two options (Google or Microsoft login) because this is my Figma Education plan student account, meaning I must authenticate strictly through my Figma identity. The error appears even though I am not trying to enter an email/password manually; it triggers automatically after the Figma redirect loop. I have already uploaded the screenshot showing the error page. Has anyone else encountered this with student accounts, or is there a known workaround? Thanks in advance for any help!

I have wasted a good three or four hours venturing with code components for the first time for Figma Sites. I would dare ask anyone to recreate the following two code components:A dark mode / light mode switch in the hope that Figma site should be able to “switch” therefore from Dark to Light Mode according to the tokens/ variable modes.   An animated header as code component, a simple animated header that can be placed anywhere on canvas, with height set to hug to contents, width dynamic to accommodate the text input, and with obviously - a text input published parameter alongside simple animation settings. And see how much hallucinations, refusal galore(s) in return. I am simply losing hope in Figma AI in general.

I have been encountering this issue for I do not know how long now, likely a year or more.Whenever I have a master component with different properties, for example a tab set with multiple tabs inside it (in this instance those are also individual components), which can be set to “idle” or “active”, which includes a color change. When I update something about the master component, such as removing the presence of an icon from each tab, the “idle” (default) states of the component instances will update and the icon is removed, but the “active” (non-default) instances will not update. The icon is still there.I encounter this most often with text, such as a message or alert component, where I change the text on the master, but for any non-default states of the instances, the text will not update. I have to reset, which returns every property to default, and then adjust all my properties again. Or manually update the text, which means it is now “custom” and will never automatically apply cha

Hi Figma Support team,We've found a problem on macOS with the Figma desktop app installed. Clicking a figma.com link inside another Electron app does nothing. This happens to only certain urls of figma not all the urls, and this happens in our own app (Setmore) and also in Slack, so it isn't limited to one app. We think it involves how the Figma desktop app handles links that macOS passes to it.EnvironmentmacOS: 27.0 (26A428) , M2Figma desktop app: latest 126.9.10Apps tested: Setmore desktop app (Electron) and Slack desktop app (Electron)Steps to reproduceInstall the Figma desktop app on macOS.Share a Figma prototype link in an Electron app (Setmore or Slack), for example: https://www.figma.com/proto/<file-key>/...?node-id=...&page-id=...&desktop-link-click-timestamp=...&desktop-ul-exp-bucket=...Click the link.example link that failed for us : https://www.figma.com/proto/b3jKH9qbvcDUlvuatYlJGz/SF-MegaNav---Footer?page-id=0%3A1&node-id=96-2287&viewport=-863%2C9

Hi Figma Research team,I took part in a Figma research survey on September 18 (invited by email through RallyUXR). Incentives from previous Figma studies have usually reached me within about 3 days, but it's been 12 days and nothing has arrived. I've checked spam and promotions for any Tremendous email. The invite came from a no-reply address, so I couldn't respond to it. Figma Support told me to contact RallyUXR, but as far as I understand, Rally is just the tool Figma uses, and only the researcher who owns the study can send or resend the incentive from their workspace.Could someone from the research team check my participant status on that study and resend the redeem link if needed? I'm happy to share my invite email and the study name privately. Thanks!

I realise some people will laugh at me for this post, that’s ok, I still love you and hope you have a great day :) Hi Figma team, I make a habit of thanking my AI for doing a good job as I’m sure many people do. It’s a natural and good part of being human to express gratitude. It’s also increasingly important that we continue to say thank you as more of our interactions with actual humans are by text and chat only. The way we treat AI can impact the way we treat people.I was wondering if you could please set something up with the AI in Figma so that we aren’t penalised for saying thank you. For example, Agent just did a good job for me, I said “Great job, thank you”, and it cost me 6 credits. We all know Figma credits are expensive and several thank you’s a day add up.How about a rule that detects if the message is under say 50 characters and it includes - thank you, thankyou, thanks, good job, great job, appreciate (etc) - it gets a free pass? It’s flagged as a thank you message and n

Hi Figma Support,I am currently enrolled at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as an exchange student and have a valid NUS student email and official enrollment documents.I am unable to complete the Figma Education verification because I receive “Verification Limit Exceeded.”I have already contacted SheerID twice. After reviewing my case, they told me that they are unable to verify my status, would not provide a specific reason, and would not offer further assistance. This issue is now seriously affecting my coursework because I need edit access to my team’s Figma Education workspace.Could someone from Figma Support please help escalate or review this case with the Education team? I can provide my SheerID case details privately if needed.Thank you.

When I select an object on the canvas and drag it toward the bottom edge of the viewport, the canvas stops moving and does not auto-scroll to follow the cursor. I have to release the mouse button and scroll manually before I can continue moving the object farther down. Expected behavior: the canvas should auto-scroll when I drag a selected object near the viewport edge, so I can keep moving it without releasing the mouse button.

Since 2/3 days ago, the figma links i  use on jira tickets wont open the desktop app anymore and will open the web app without asking me if i want to open the link on the app. I tried clearing the cache but it didnt change anything.I’m using firefox on windows

I recently changed my Figma plan from monthly billing to an annual plan. After switching to the annual plan, I checked my Billing → Invoices page and noticed an invoice labeled “Annual plan renewal” with a status of Paid, but the total amount shows $0.00.I’m a little confused about what this means. Could someone explain what this $0.00 annual renewal invoice means and whether my annual subscription is fully active?

As a designer I would like to record my prototype screen or export it as a gif so I can use it in presentations and send quick examples in the team group. It would be great to have the same feature then Principle to record or export the prototype to gif. Does anyone have the same need? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?

Problem:When a Figma frame contains a video, GIF, or prototype animation, exporting it as PNG/JPG loses the motion. Currently, designers often need to use external tools or screen-record the prototype.Suggested feature:When a frame contains video, GIF, or animated interactions, add MP4 and GIF as export formats.Export options:PNG JPG SVG PDF MP4 🎬 GIF 🔄Suggested UXWhen clicking Export, Figma could automatically detect whether the frame contains animated content.Export as:○ PNG○ JPG○ SVG○ PDF○ MP4○ GIFFor MP4/GIF, provide:Duration: Entire prototype / Custom Resolution: 1× / 2× / 3× Frame rate: 24 / 30 / 60 FPS GIF: Loop / Play once MP4: Include audio / mute⭐ Extra opportunityA particularly useful option would be:“Export prototype flow as video”Instead of exporting just one frame, designers could select a prototype starting point and Figma would record the entire interaction flow as an MP4/GIF.That would be extremely useful for portfolio case studies, presentations, social media, desig

Haven ChandigarhHi,I’m Rehan, a 17-year-old student from Chandigarh, India, and I’m organizing Haven Chandigarh, a 24-hour, teen-only hackathon and game jam taking place on November 14–15.We’re bringing together around 100 high-school students for 24 hours of building, creating, learning, and making games with friends.Haven is part of Hack Club, a global nonprofit community for teenagers who code and build. Hack Club supports teens aged 13–18 and has a community spanning more than 100 countries. It is supported by organizations including GitHub, AMD, Dell Technologies.Hackathons have given me some of my best memories, friends, and opportunities. After experiencing that myself, I wanted to create that same opportunity for other students in Chandigarh. That's why I'd love to have Figma involved in Haven. We can host workshop on how to use figma and what is it and ask everyone to present and design their game presentation in Figma and give a best designer award tooWe're looking for partner

Just tried Figma Motion and animations work great when tested on standalone screens. However, there's a noticeable issue when a page transition is triggered via an interaction (e.g. clicking a CTA): the final state of the animation briefly flashes (~0.5s) before snapping back to its initial state and playing. This creates a visible glitch every time you navigate between pages. Hope this gets looked into! Additionally, there seems to be a bug with overlays: animations don't appear to trigger when placed inside an overlay. The animation simply doesn't play.

Recently Figma has stopped remembering the last location I exported to. So I need to renavigate every time I export something. Please restore. Thanks!

Hi Figma Support,I’d like to ask if it’s possible to transfer an existing annual seat to a user who is currently assigned a monthly seat, without incurring an additional charge. Our current setup is: Person A: Annual seat Person B: Annual seat Person C: Monthly seat Total: 3 seats We would like to remove Person B from our Figma subscription entirely by November 5, 2026, before the next monthly billing. Instead of releasing Person B’s annual seat, we’d like to transfer that existing annual seat to Person C, who is currently on a monthly seat. Our intended setup would therefore be: Person A: Annual seat Person B: Removed Person C: Annual seat Total: 2 annual seats Since Person B will be removed from the subscription and Person C is already an existing monthly seat, we’d like to ask if Figma can reassign Person B’s existing annual seat to Person C without charging us for an additional seat or requiring us to purchase another annual seat. Our annual subscription renewed on Septemb

I tried uploading a file that failed to upload because it was too large. I then broke it down into two parts to submit sequentially, but the first attempt gave me the message: “Message can’t be sent. Remove some files or text and try again.”Now, no matter what I try to prompt (with or without attachment) I get that same message.I have tried:Restarting Figma Restarting my computer Duplicating the file and working from the copy (it inherits the problem) Looking in Settings > General for the fabled “Clear Context” button (it does not exist)

Hi Figma team,Is there any way to switch back to the previous version of “Edit with prompt”?After the recent update, I noticed that two important features from the previous experience are no longer available:I can no longer add an existing image directly from the canvas as a reference. My previous prompt is no longer retained or displayed when I reopen the editor. Both features were essential to my workflow. I now have to add reference images again and rewrite my prompt every time, making the image-editing process significantly slower and more frustrating. At minimum, the new version should support:Adding existing canvas images directly as references; Retaining and displaying the most recent prompt; Allowing users to switch between the previous and current editing experiences. If there is already a way to access these features, could you please let me know where to find them? Otherwise, please consider restoring them or providing an option to switch back to the previous experience.Honestl
