Somewhere between "pics or it didn't happen" and "bro that's obviously AI," humanity quietly lost the ability to trust its own footage. A random model with too much rizz can now cook a photorealistic UFO before your coffee finishes brewing.
Phenom is the receipts layer for reality.
You point your phone at something genuinely weird (a light doing physics-illegal things, a cryptid ruining your hike, a full-on paranormal moment) and Phenom captures it, wraps it in a thick blanket of sensor data, and cryptographically seals the whole package the moment it's born. Nobody (not a troll, not a studio, not a bored teenager with a GPU) can quietly doctor it later and pass it off as real.
Then it does the unglamorous, actually-important part: it turns your "bro you had to be there" into a structured data point researchers can actually use. Location, time, environment, witness account, sealed media. Anecdote in, dataset out.
It's giving citizen science. It's giving The X-Files, except the truth was in the metadata the entire time.
Deepfakes didn't just break "fake news." They broke the default assumption that a recording of a thing is evidence the thing happened. That assumption quietly underwrote journalism, courtrooms, insurance, science, and every group chat argument since 2007.
