Hi, I'm Shuxiang Cao

I'm a Senior Applied Research Scientist at NVIDIA working at the intersection of scientific AI, quantum systems, and autonomous experimentation. I build foundation-model and agentic systems that connect AI reasoning, scientific tools, and real experimental workflows.

Current focus

  • Scientific vision-language models for quantum calibration and scientific-figure understanding
  • AI co-scientists and closed-loop agents for autonomous experimentation
  • Scalable training, evaluation, and inference for scientific foundation models
  • Superconducting quantum-device calibration, control, and experimental automation
