How to reproduce the bug

Hi,

I followed #3028 to update my deploy.yml file to resolve a similar actions/cache@v2 deployment failure. I also updated my Gemfile and Gemfile.lock. However, my deployment is still failing with a new error message:

Sorry, I'm using an old version of the repo and it has become impossible to merge with the latest. I did update my wesbite on Feb 19 and that was successful. So this deployment issue only became an issue some time in the past month. Would greatly appreciate help on resolving this.
