Software engineer who spends too much time thinking about systems, tooling, and why 100 existing solutions somehow aren't right for me. Most of what I build starts as a side project and ends up in production. Sometimes on my hardware, sometimes on yours.
I try to keep things simple, but occasionally go down a rabbit hole and come back having implemented a heap or PID controller for reasons that made sense at the time. When I'm not doing that I'm probably wrapping an API I don't like or chasing a 5% speed improvement on something that works totally fine as is.
I like building my own stuff, and these things make that possible.
