If these changes are applicable to versions before 9.2.0, please backport to 9.1. The Beats docs are currently published from the 9.1 branch.

Thanks, @colleenmcginnis. It applies to all the existing supported versions (I think it could reasonably be considered a documentation bug fix).

@chrisberkhout The backport to 8.x will need manual intervention due to the changes in doc format/location.
