Pull request overview
Adds a new network detection rule to identify inbound ICMP Timestamp (type 13) and ICMP Information Request (type 15) activity from public (Internet) source IPs targeting RFC1918 destination IPs, intended to surface legacy ICMP-based reconnaissance and fingerprinting.
Changes:
- Introduces a new KQL query rule for inbound ICMP type 13/15 requests to private IPv4 ranges.
- Adds an investigation guide, setup instructions, tags, and ATT&CK mappings for Discovery/Reconnaissance coverage.

Adds a new
querynetwork detection rule that identifies inbound ICMP Timestamp (type 13) or Information (type 15) requests from public source IPs to RFC1918 destination IPs. These legacy ICMP message types are rarely expected from the Internet toward internal address space and may indicate active scanning, host discovery, or fingerprinting. How To Test
