Describing an alternative to EDOT Cloud Forwarder for AWS: collecting logs using awss3receiver. EDOT Cloud Forwarder works only for Serverless Elastic projects. The manual setup using awss3receiver doesn't have that restriction.

VPC Flow Logs, ELB Access Logs tested.
CloudTrail not (messaged you why), however it should be OK, as the setup is the same for all of them, the only thing that changes is the encoding extension format parameter
