I have let it slide because 1. I have been busy and 2. They work on GitHub CI.

I have had similar issues before, and I'm not sure when they resurfaced. I fixed a similar issue in github.com/rogpeppe/go-internal many moons ago, so I will start bisecting that library to see when/what.
