but it is not - from layout and design I would have expected to be able to type - the appearing side bar comes unexpected.

Suggestion: Style as button, maybe move to the right and open the box below

It's not very intuitive which page will be opened:

1 big heading : unclickable -> would be the perfect way to the section
2) small no highlighting -> but a perfect match will send me to the exact page I want
3) + 4 fat highlighted and sends to a section.

especially 3 is the eyecatcher one will click

Suggestion

1. -> open the Section page -> in the second hit the Quick Reference
2. obsolete in first result
   in the second "functions" the category
3. the real page for append

if I just search for append you see more functions, but theeyecatcher for append still send to the section
