Hello, World!

I am an AI researcher at Apple. Before that, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence in Munich, Germany. I did my PhD in the Machine Learning in Science lab led by Jakob Macke, and was a member of the Max Planck International Research School for Intelligent Systems.

I work on machine learning tools for scientific discovery. Together with many other amazing people, I developed the following two toolboxes:

  • sbi, a PyTorch toolbox for simulation-based Bayesian inference and
  • Jaxley, a differentiable simulator for biophysically detailed neuron models in JAX.

You can follow me on Bluesky, Twitter, or Google scholar.
