Hi folks, I work on abuse for GitHub. I can confirm that this was an error on our end, as many of you anticipated: we sent out warnings to a group of users that shouldn't have been warned. We've fixed the core problem - no more warnings are going out - and we've scrubbed the warnings from our system. Sorry about that!
