Is it possible to edit an issue's description/body/initial comment, as they are in draft mode, even after they have been converted to an issues?

Today issues in draft can be edited and hence collaborate around them. Once converted to an issue it's only possible to add comments, which makes it hard to get the final thoughts through. Hence you always need to read the whole thread of comments in order to know the expected end result.

Hence, I'm looking for issues having a description that is editable (great to have a conversation too, but the description should always tell the common "understanding").

By increased authority in the repository it was possible to edit the body/description/main comment.
