Possible bug with reset date (Github Copilot Free)

So forgive me if this is not a bug, and I did not record what dates I started using github copilot, so it's hard for me to describe enough info about this problem, but recently I reached my monthly chat limit for github copilot free version (in vscode) a few days ago. It specifically stated that the reset date was January 19th, yesterday. Yesterday on the 19th it continued to say that the reset date was Jan 19th, until today, and now it says the reset date is actually February 19th.
Not only that, but if I go to github.com in my browser, it states there that the reset date is actually February 20th.
Now I don't mind if I actually reached my chat limit, but something doesn't make any sense about this, because the February date is a month from today? So that would mean I have already used THIS month's chat limit, but I believe I started using the copilot sometime in December... So that would lead me to think that the reset should have happened yesterday on the 19th?

Expected Behavior:

Monthly reset said it would be January 19th, I would expect it to actually reset then.

Actual Behavior:

Date suddenly switches to February 19th, a month later.

Additional Notes:

I think I started using the copilot in December, I would expect that running out of tokens before reset would make the reset date in January as it said, but maybe I am wrong due to technicality of when I used the tokens?

I have this problem as well. I'm using VS code 1.100.1, and my completions limit was reached. Was supposed to reset om May 5, but it just jumped to Jun 5 without resetting the quotas. After googling I found there was a bug with the copilot plugin. I tried updating, restarting etc, but the problem persists.

I'm also having this problem. Was supposed to reset today and now it says it will reset on June 17th.

I am also experiencing this problem. Code completions were supposed to reset on June 17th. When they did not, I thought perhaps the time of day had not passed yet (as opposed to midnight somewhere, which is the expected behavior). Today it says "Allowance resets July 17, 2025."

they reset usage based on the server timing in utc , so if you are ahead of utc you will see update after some time as soon as utc hit 00 00 am in the night
