We can search issues by visibility (public, private, internal) with the is qualifier. Example: is:public. This works as intended and is even documented but GitHub’s interface says it is invalid.

There is no confusion. I know the feature works and explicitly say so. I’ve been relying on this functionality for years. The bug I’m reporting is precisely that there is a mismatch in the interface.
