VSCode Copilot Accept Word only Accepts one word and then the suggestion disappears

I'm on mac with a PC style keyboard. In vscode, copilot will give me the usual autocomplete. Sometimes I don't just want to hit tab and get everything, so I do accept word. Sometimes I want, for example, the next five of the words it suggested. I used to do "option+right arrow" and simply click the right arrow five times and get five words and the suggestion remains.

Unfortunately a while back copilot started acting weird after some update. Now when I type, every other character causes the suggestion to come and go.

Like if I am trying to type the word this, I type the letter t it does the suggestion for the whole line. Then I type the next letter h and the suggestion disappears. I type i it comes back but different then before. Every dang letter and now it looks all glitchy and super hard to follow now as it's constantly changing what it was suggesting.

Back to the accept one word at a time issue which very much seems related. I get the suggestion for the line and accept one word and the suggestion goes away. Then I push space, but space no longer triggers copilot suggestions anymore either. So I have to get to the next letter which once again gives me a different suggestion then before. This all makes the accept one word at a time feature totally broken for me. Was one of my favorite features.

I searched for months now trying to find something similar. Today it just got really hard and hear I am. There are similar but not the same issues and none of the solutions worked for me. However, I do feel when others had keybinding conflicts that still might be the case but I haven't actually had any of those solutions actually work. Maybe I did it wrong?

What can I do here to get the suggestions to not constantly come and go every character? Pretty sure if I solve this one the accept word feature will start working correctly again. Anyone else seen issues like this?

Well I just tried making a brand new profile and only installed copilot. Problem solved, it's conflicting with another extension. Don't know why I didn't think to do that until I made this post. I'll come back to this once I figure out which one it was.

I'll open a ticket for them and reference this discussion. Ugh, copilot and qodo worked fine together for quite some time. Now it doesn't.
