The GitHub Copilot Pro department either suffers from "dogmatism" in its rules and regulations or is understaffed! It's a very simple and low-level problem, but the way it's being handled is a typical case of "big company disease". |

I'm paying a monthly fee of $10 for Copilot Pro! Yet, due to exceeding the token quota, $41.87 was automatically deducted from my account without warning. The moment I noticed this unauthorized overflow charge, I submitted a support ticket right away – that's ticket #3635714. It has now been 4 full days, and there's still absolutely no response or resolution from your team! I'm completely powerless to resolve this issue on my own. Copilot is consuming tokens at an insane rate compared to other AI products in the industry! When working on large projects with numerous files and asking questions within that context, the token usage spikes dramatically. This excessive consumption is what caused me to exceed my quota, which in turn led to these erroneous overcharges! And now, 4 days after filing the ticket about this issue, I'm still left waiting with no update whatsoever. |

I was unable to pay with a "coinbase" payment card - everywhere else I can pay with it and have no problems. I wonder why github is using such a bad processor or is unable to fix the problem?? |

Hello, The credit card was declined by the payment processor. Please verify that the card information entered is correct (number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address). If the information is correct and the problem continues, we recommend contacting your card issuer to ensure there are no restrictions or issues with the card. Reference: #169264 |

Payment issues with GitHub subscriptions usually happen due to one of these reasons:
Since you already raised a ticket, keep that open. Meanwhile, try adding another card or PayPal to prevent cancellation. If the issue persists, contact GitHub Support via Billing support form (https://support.github.com/contact) and select Urgent Billing Issue to prioritize your request. |

I ran into this error when I tried to update the expiration date of my credit card, and in my case the cause was a mismatch in the billing address. I’m from a country that doesn’t use the Latin alphabet, and whenever I used my credit card on foreign websites, I had always entered my billing address rewritten in the Latin alphabet out of habit. That had always worked—until now.
This was indeed written in the FAQ, but I overlooked it because I had assumed:
But that was the cause. I tried everything mentioned in the FAQ—clearing cache, using a private window, switching browsers, trying a different card brand, and so on—but nothing worked. Completely stuck, I looked through last year’s invoice for clues and noticed that although my name was written in the Latin alphabet, the address was somehow written in my native script. I updated the “Billing information” to match it exactly—and that did the trick. Even though it was my own assumption that misled me, I never imagined that a format that worked last year would suddenly stop being accepted internally. I ended up spending an entire day on this. I hope this helps someone. |

I keep getting the same error every single time: “The credit card was declined by the payment processor. Please verify the card’s information. If the problem persists, contact the card issuer.” This is extremely frustrating. I’ve already verified my card details multiple times, and everything is correct. At this point, it doesn’t even seem like an issue from my side. I have successfully made payments using this same card 4–5 times earlier without any issues, so this clearly indicates that the problem is not with my card. Honestly, this makes it feel like GitHub doesn’t even want the payment. The experience is far from professional — there’s no clear support, no proper guidance, and no resolution despite repeated attempts. I’m seriously considering switching to another platform like Antigravity or any alternative, because this kind of unreliable payment system and lack of support is unacceptable. This needs to be addressed immediately. |
